Giving a clean chit to Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde, minister of state in the PMO, V. Narayanasamy on Wednesday said that former home secretary R.K. Singh began hurling allegations against his former boss after his plan of securing a post-retirement job in the government did not materialise. Talking to reporters here, Mr Narayanasamy said, “I could see he (R.K. Singh) was expecting some kind of position in the government. That is what Digvijay also said in his statement. Since it did not materialise, he is making a lot of bold allegations. The allegations, which are not borne by truth. It is very unfortunate.” He added, “I would like to make it very clear that as far as home minister Shinde is concerned, he has got impeccable integrity. He is a man of action.”
Mr Narayanansamy also credited his colleague, Mr Shinde, of having initiated several reforms in the home ministry.
