Expelled Aam Aadmi Paty MLA Vinod Kumar Binny, who began an indefinite hungerstrike against the AAP government, ended his protest after five hours Monday, apparently at the request of Anna Hazare and lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung.

The MLA, however, set the Kejriwal government a 10-day deadline to fulfil its promises, and threatened a major agitation if that didn’t happen. “We are giving 10 days’ time to the Delhi government. If Kejriwal and his government don’t meet the promises it made, we will launch a movement,” said Mr Binny. He said he got a letter from Mr Hazare asking him to give the Kejriwal government more time to meet its pledges.
Backing Mr Binny’s attack on Mr Kejriwal, BJP leader Harsh Vardhan said the issues he raised were “serious”, and the AAP “needs to introspect”.
Mr Binny, who was expelled from the AAP on Sunday night for “indiscipline”, questioned the grounds for his expulsion. “I only raised questions, but they call me greedy. They call me a Congress agent or BJP agent.”
