Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh on Monday said that the polling booth level party office-bearers will play a decisive role in accomplishing “Mission 29” and achieving the target of winning all the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.
The BJP chief was addressing a convention of party workers representing the Indore parliamentary constituency at Dussehra Maidan here on Monday when the city moved at its normal pace and electioneering was still to pick up in this business capital of Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier during the day, he also addressed party workers at Jabalpur. He gave credit to the BJP cadres, state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state unit party president Narendra Singh Tomar for the BJP’s miraculous performance in the Assembly election. The BJP won 165 Assembly seats in the state, including 28 of the 35 SC seats, 32 of the 47 ST seats and scored a hat-trick to form the state government for the third time in a row in Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Singh appealed to the BJP workers to “rid Madhya Pradesh of Congress party” by ensuring a clean sweep for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
