According to astrologers, the coming year will see BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi occupying the top post, YSR Congress winning 140-145 seats in Seemandhra and Telugu Desam president Chandrababu Naidu faring well too.
Pundits who read out the Panchanga Shravanam on the occasion of Jaya Nama Samvastram, the first Ugadi celebrations after the bifurcation of the state, at the party offices of Telugu Desam, YSR Congress, Congress, BJP and other parties, predicted the success of the politicians in their endeavors.
Most of the politicians in Andhra are otherwise too seeking guidance of astrologers as they are worried about forming alliances, managing disgruntled partymen, and dealing with defections.
Many astrologers revealed forecasts for Seemandhra and avoided Telangana, but astrologer and numerologist Rammgopaall has been consistently predicting a big win for the TRS in Telangana. TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao celebrated Ugadi at home and there was no official function held at Telangana Bhavan.
According TRS spokes-man Shravan Reddy, many Vedic pundits and astrologers met Mr Rao, blessed him and predicted a big win for party and also sought tickets! “One astrologer, Rammgopaall has been saying that the TRS will win in Telangana,” he disclosed.
BJP leaders, who are confident of Mr Modi’s victory in the general elections, meanwhile, were mighty pleased by the prediction of Mr Santosh Kumar Sastry, an astrologer and Vedic scholar from Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district.
“Modi’s stars are very bright. He is strong and has the capacity and power to occupy the top post. He will reach the pinnacle of glory. No one can stop his success. He attracts people of all hues and shades. People will benefit under his rule,” predicted Mr Sastry.
Some astrologers predicted big wins for leaders and their parties, others wished them all success besides predicting instability, unrest, good food grain production, and natural calamities.
At YSR Congress Ugadi celebrations, astrologer Ramachandra Sastry asserted that the party would be victorious in Seemandhra. “People are ready to give a big win to YSRC. Going by guru, rahu, ketu, ravi, chandrudu and kujudu, which are favourable, YSRCP will win 140-145 seats (Assembly) in the Andhra region and provide a stable government. Many parties will vanish,” claimed Mr Sastry. He, however, avoided commenting on the fate of the party in Telangana.
For Telugu Desam president Chandrababu Naidu too, the stars are bright, but the astrologer refrained from making political predictions except wishing him all success. “I refrain from making political predictions. But going by Chandrababu Naidu’s personal profile, his stars are bright. I don’t want to predict which party will win in Telangana or Seemandhra,” astrologer Srinivas Gargeya said.
