Hitting out at the ruling Congress over the “immature comments” made by new law minister Kapil Sibal and the “unwarranted advice” given to the judiciary by its senior leader Digvijay Singh, the BJP on Tuesday alleged Congress is “completely shaken up” after being openly exposed by the media in various scams.
Criticising senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s “unwarranted advice” to the judiciary, leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said the motivation behind his criticism was the “frustration of a loser”.
“Criticism or comment which is intended to improve the functioning the justice delivery system is always welcome. However, the motivation behind this criticism cannot be the frustration of a loser. This regrettably appears to be the impression that Digvijay Singh has conveyed,” he said adding that Mr Singh is “known to speak out of turn”. The wsenior BJP leader said when the government or investigating agency is going wrong, oral observations nudge them into correction.
Mr Jaitley said the “ill-advised” suggestion made to the judiciary by the Congress leader has come when corruption of UPA is being investigated.

CBI to quiz Raja Bhaiyya today

The CBI has summoned former Uttar Pradesh minister Raja Bhaiyya for questioning in connection with its probe into the killings of DSP Zia-ul-Haq in Kunda on March 2. The former minister, sources said, has been asked to appear before the agency’s camp office in Kunda at around 11 am on Wednesday.
Sources said, “During questioning he will be confronted with certain evidence, including his telephone call records, collected by the CBI officials”. Mr Haque’s wife Parveen Azad had accused Raja Bhaiya of being involved in the murder case. The allegations forced him to resign from the post of minister of food and civil supplies from the Akhilesh Yadav government.
The agency officials have already recorded the statement Raja Bhaiya’s cousin and member of state legislative council Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopal ji. Besides, the agency sleuths recorded the statements of Guddu Singh and Rajeev Singh, said to be close aides of the former minister in connection with the case. The CBI on March 7 had registered four FIRs in connection with the killings of DSP.
