Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi here on Wednesday announced that he will be reshuffling his council of ministers in the next few days. Informing that he was leaving for New Delhi on Friday to discuss the proposed reshuffle in his council of ministers with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Mr Gogoi told reporters that he will be able to announce the entire changes in his council of ministers only after his meeting with the Congress high command and AICC. Indicating that he may reshuffle the portfolios of the the existing ministers also, Mr Gogoi said, “I have at least four vacancies that will be filled up.”
In his three successive tems since 2001, this was for the first time that Mr Gogoi would be reshuffling his council of ministers.
