Nobel laureate and Burma Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi serves tea she made to Genshitsu Sen, the former grand tea master of the Urasenke, one of the main schools of the Japanese tea ceremony, during a visit to the tea room Konnichian in Kyoto on Monday. Ms Suu Kyi, who was on a weeklong visit to Japan, was taught the centuries-old Japanese tea ceremony, a cultural activity in Japan.
