The Bengal Assembly was rocked twice on Tuesday by the walkouts by Opposition MLAs from the Left Front as well as the Congress on different issues. The Left’s focus was the bail of Trinamul MLA from Sonamukhi in Bankura, absconding since accused in a case of influencing the poll procees in the Lok Sabha elections, by the district court on Monday.
Appearing for her, Trinamul MLA and state textile minister Shyamapada Mukherjee had filed the bail application. In the public prosecutor’s absnece Ms Saha was granted bail. A team of Left MLAs, including Anisur Rahman of the CPI(M), brought an adjournment motion about it after the question hour.
